Cryostat

CM3050S cryostat.  Please read the "Cryostat Expectations" document with safety reminders attached at the right.

Bring your own specimen disc, blades, brushes, OCT and 100% ethanol for cleanup. Leave the bench next to the cryostat clean of your materials and spilled OCT when you leave. Do not leave materials behind. Dispose of all sharps in a proper hard-sided biohazard sharps container.

A limited supply of IRM discs are available for check out from Cassandra (desk in 912E).  We regret that the procedure has changed due to the disappearance of the shared discs from all the cryostats.

10/13/25: the emergency stop button was fixed.  If you activate this feature, please read the manual in page 36 to learn how to disengage without breaking the electrical connections. :)
